Circling the band wagons

Well have been away for a while. Took some time out, went on hols. It was good getting away from the papers. I picked up the news a few times but sometimes you’ve just got to give yourself a break from the bullshit. Didn’t take long before you see the same old shit in the papers. Man. One good thing I guess is that it’s good to see the politicians catching up on what Occupy have been saying since the beginning. They’re all talking about it now, responsible capitalism, moral capitalism etc. They don’t actually know what that means but, you know, they’re getting there and that’s got to be a good thing. I wonder if they’ll be talking about it when the electricity and gas companies announce massive profits again or when the bankers dish out their bonuses with their usual excuses. As some of you know I’ve always called it Democratic Capitalism so it was encouraging to hear Clegg the leg this morning talking about there having to be ‘economic power in more hands’… Yes Nick, well done but you still fucked up on education. What we are talking about above the economics is the evolution of society and education is a prerequisite for an evolving society. From an evolving society come greater awareness and balance, participation and societal self-determination. If economic imbalance is a symptom of our current definition of society then education is a cure. So you haven’t wangled out of that one yet Nick.
